The Design Lens is a project that aims to empower tech companies to create desirable experiences. This is accomplished through a set of human-centric design methodologies which can be used in time and budget constraints. These methods can help startups understand and address problems in a human context, leveraging their customers’ experiences.
This, in short, is the Design Lens™.
The idea behind the Design Lens started in 2007 as a result of Gulay Ozkan‘s efforts. Initially the concept was aimed at guiding entrepreneurs in creating human-centric businesses. Since then, the concept morphed into a more design-focused process to create great customer experiences under time and budget constraints that tech startups face to reduce pivot rate and failure rates. Along the way, the concept was taught in universities, presented in design and technology conferences all around the world, and won an award.
